Research at the University of Tennessee
University of Tennessee research encompasses programs on the flagship campus in Knoxville as well as initiatives of the Institute of Agriculture, the Institute for Public Service, the Health Science Center in Memphis, and the Space Institute in Tullahoma.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and the University of Tennessee at Martin also are active in research and other sponsored programs that provide strong regional impact.
The university has collaborative relationships with public agencies and private organizations including Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Battelle Memorial Institute (forming UT-Battelle), Volkswagen Group of America, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the Memphis Biotech Foundation.
