Henry Nemcik

Henry Nemcik joined the University of Tennessee as vice president for development and alumni affairs in September 2005. He holds a B.S. from Western Kentucky University (1969), B.S. from University of Central Florida at Orlando (1976), and the MPA from University of Nebraska at Omaha (1988).

Prior to his arrival to UT, he was assistant vice president for development/campaign director at the Texas A&M Foundation in College Station, Texas. He oversaw and managed Texas A&M University’s billion dollar capital campaign.

As UT vice president he is responsible for leadership, planning, coordination, and management of development and alumni affairs programs for the entire multi-campus university; coordinating fund raising from alumni, other individuals, corporations, and foundations; identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major gift prospects; maintaining a cooperative relationship with university staff involved in public relations and governmental relations activities; establishing and maintaining productive relationships with the private and corporate business community; and recruiting, motivating, coordinating, and retaining a strong central staff, which maintains cooperative relationships with development and alumni personnel on all UT campuses.

Nemcik also is president of the University of Tennessee Foundation Inc.

He is married to Roxanne Nemcik, an attorney, and they have one daughter, Jacquelyn.
