I was privileged to be the guest of Gov. Bill Haslam at his State of the State address last night in Nashville. I’m grateful and excited about his clear support for higher education, and I look forward to discussing his proposals and other matters of interest to the University during a live webcast at 10 a.m. EST on Monday, Feb. 4.
In my “State of UT” discussion, I’ll also share our vision and goals for the coming year, and talk about the governor’s higher education working group and my role on it, along with UT Knoxville alumnus Randy Boyd, recently named a special advisor to the group. I’ll also answer some of your questions.
I invite you to join the discussion by submitting a question for me to answer during the webcast.
The State of UT discussion will be moderated by our own Chuck Denney from the Institute of Agriculture. As a broadcasting pro, Chuck will enhance the webcast presentation, and as the parent of a UT Knoxville student, he understands even better our mission and the exceptional educational quality we provide. I look forward to addressing your questions.
On Feb. 4, you can access the webcast at tennessee.edu. It will be archived for viewing later if you can’t watch it live.
Thank you for the work you do every day to help the University of Tennessee educate, discover and connect.
All the best,
